

After defining a selection, users can choose Select> Refine Edge to open the Refine Edge dialog box and access a bevy of options to refine the election. Version 11 now includes a much-improved Refine Edge feature that borrows from Photoshop. Buttons located at the bottom of the screen allow for switching between Layers, Effects, etc., while a More button further opens a second category of panels, which includes Histogram, History, etc., into a floating, non-anchoring window. On the right side of the basic/default workspace, users will now only see a single panel at a time that no longer launches into separate windows. Panels are even different in the new layout. The new Tool Options panel is also able to hide. Adobe removed click-to-view submenus of related tools, but users could press the tool’s keyboard shortcut to browse them. It is now a more prominent Options panel, located near the bottom of the window, where users will also notice a group of tools like Magnetic Lasso tool and Rectangle.
